Top Ten FC booked their place in the final of the Brikama Sports Committee Nawettan League with a convincing 2–0 victory over Young Boys Stars.
The breakthrough came as early as the 4th minute when Buba Ceesay picked out Yankuba Jabbi unmarked inside the box, and the forward made no mistake with a sublime finish.
Young Boys Stars responded with a strong showing for the remainder of the first half, dominating possession and creating chances, but their profligacy in front of goal proved costly.
Young Boys’ Star attacker Muhammed Lamin Marong missed a gilt-edged opportunity that could have brought them back into the game before the break.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Young Boys Stars pushing hard in search of an equaliser. However, Top Ten FC remained disciplined at the back and absorbed the pressure effectively.
Their resilience paid off late on when Ebrima Sillah set up Kalifa Kijera to seal the win with just three minutes remaining.
With the victory, Top Ten FC advances to the Nawettan League final, where they will face Touray’s FA in what promises to be an exciting showdown.
