Kim Lund Jensen, Maria Zeberg and Sainey S. M’Boge will make it easier for young Danish and foreign players to integrate in Horsens in the players care department.
On January 12, 2024, AC Horsens announced that the club had established the players care department, which will take care of young Danish and foreign players so that they can concentrate on playing football.
At the time, Kim Lund Jensen and Maria Zeberg made up the department, which, among other things, helps with setting up a bank account, assists with shopping, makes an appointment with a dentist or ensures that the apartment is ready for occupancy.
Now the two have been joined by Sainey S. M’Boge, who despite her young age has a lot of experience in the football world and is already getting to grips with the tasks.
Sainey S. M’Boge knows all about what good integration means, having played soccer at a high level herself. She was the youngest player and vice-captain of the Gambia U17 team at the 2012 World Cup and even scored a goal from her position as a winger.
She has also made a name for herself off the pitch, working for FIFA since 2015 to promote women’s football and improve conditions for boys and girls. She has been involved with Gambian clubs and several national teams, including the men’s U20 national team when her husband Mattar M’Boge was the national coach. She also runs her own academy for female footballers in The Gambia.
– “I have experience from the football world and have tried many things myself, so I know what the players need to be able to perform. We need to provide a good framework and guide them so they can perform at their best, and we need to make demands on each individual player. People are different, but we must lift them all together so that they and we as a club can achieve success. I’m looking forward to continuing my work and I’ve already got a really good impression of AC Horsens, where there are great people and a good environment,” says Sainey S. M’Boge.
