Keita Saidy the Deputy Director General of the Gambia Prisons Services has hailed the contribution of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat towards his department as cordial and meaningful. DDG Keita was speaking Wednesday afternoon at the handing over of basic food items to the Mile Two and Jeshwang prisons. The Jamaat he went on , has been coming to their aid several years ago now, it’s nowra tradition that in every Eid , the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat will bring along bags of rice, onions, cooking oil, Irish potatoes and two goats so that the immates and those put in charge can enjoy the Eid. This is not a small donation, he added and I assured you all that it will be put in to good use.

At the Tanka Tanka psychiatric hospital where Jamaat made some donations too. The Administrator Sulayman Jah also heaps praise on the Jamaat. He stated that when he was transferred from Ndemban to Tanka tanka, he was briefed that Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat normally use to donate them every Eid prayers. So it was not a surprise, I was expecting that you will be coming. This are no small donations and it will go a long way here. On behalf of the hospital we thank you all, he ended
