President Macky SALL received his successor Bassirou Diomaye Faye
, who had landslide victory over Amadou Ba, Macky ‘s picked candidate in the Senegalese elections held on March 24, 2024.
The meeting was geared towards logistics on transitioning and hanging over the office of presidency.
The surprised victory of Faye is historical, making him the youngest (44 yesrs) democratic elected president in the region.
No one saw this coming and the trends of opposition parties winning elections continue. Before this, Liberian Forner President Weah also lost to an opposition party.
