POLICE OFFICERS PARTICIPATE IN INTERNATIONAL SPORTING COMPETITION – 13TH AFRICAN GAMES

The Gambia Police Force is proud to announce its participation -in the National Teams – in the ongoing international sporting competition, the 13th African Games 2024, in Accra, Ghana.

In athletics, Inspector Mariam Gina Bass Bittaye has been crowned the fastest woman in Africa in the 100M race. Similarly, 1st Class Constable Echen Obega and 1st Class Constable Sampierre Gomez have performed exceptionally well on the male side.

In volleyball, eleven police officers, representing both male and female teams, are participating in the national team. The volleyball teams have successfully qualified for the quarterfinals, scheduled to be played tomorrow, Thursday, March 21, 2024. We wish them the best of luck and hope for their qualification to the semifinals.

The Gambia Police Force takes pride not only in maintaining peace and security but also in contributing to national victories in sports.
