The Rivers State Police Command has declared two senior officials of the Ahoada-East Local Government Area of the state wanted over the attack on the council’s Administrator, Goodluck Iheanachor.
The two officials are – the council’s Chief Security Officer, Hector Ekeakita and the Chief of Staff, Aloni Olodi.
The duo were accused of criminal conspiracy, stealing, assault occasioning arm and attempted murder.
The command’s spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the development in a statement on Sunday in Port Harcourt.
She said the administrator was assaulted by a group of 30 persons at the council secretariat on June 20.
“The suspects allegedly inflicted bodily harm, stole the Administrator’s mobile phones and sensitive documents, and forcefully obtained his signature under duress before carting away both personal and official items from his office,” the spokesperson added.
