NPP Inaugurates Head Office in Brikama Amidst Enthusiastic Support

The National People’s Party (NPP) inaugurated its new head office in Brikama with a grand ceremony attended by party supporters and notable figures from the party’s national executive committee.

In his address, Ebrima Jatta, a member of the national executive committee, expressed gratitude to President Adama Barrow and the supporters of the NPP. He emphasized the importance of political dialogue within the community, urging the people of Brikama to engage in constructive discussions about their political future.

Dou Sannoh, the organizing secretary of the NPP and deputy adviser to the president on political matters, also spoke to the supporters. He extended a warm welcome to former members of the United Democratic Party (UDP) who have joined the NPP, highlighting the party’s growing strength. Sannoh addressed criticisms from Ousainou Darboe, leader of the UDP, who had questioned his qualifications. Sannoh recounted several instances where he had protected Darboe, including an incident in Basse Mansajang and another at Camfenda, asserting his loyalty and capabilities.

Mamadou Sabally, the special adviser to the office of the president, lauded President Barrow as the most peaceful leader in Africa. He reminded the people of Brikama of the significant developments initiated by the president in the West Coast region, including the construction of the University of Gambia, solar projects, and first-class roads. Sabally invoked the words of Bob Marley, urging the people to “emancipate from mental slavery” and join President Barrow in developing the nation. He noted the widespread satisfaction among youth, national assembly members, and journalists with the president’s initiatives.

The event underscored the NPP’s commitment to progress and unity, with party leaders expressing optimism about the party’s future and its role in shaping the country’s political landscape.
