The Nigerian currency, the naira, gained against the American dollar at the official market on Tuesday,.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,579.27/$1 as against N1, 581.58/$1 it traded on Monday.
This represents a gain of N2.31 for the local currency against the American greenback.
On the black market, the naira closed flat against the dollar to trade at N1,615/$1.
The naira gained N10 against the British Pound to trade at N2,160/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,170/£1.
The naira closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,220/CA$1.
The naira gained N5 against the Euro to trade at ₦1,805/€1 as against the previous ₦1,810/€1.
