Motivating youths in sports:Katong Volleyball Association gets material donation

Gambia’s Men’s Beach Volleyball Team coach who doubles as the Brikama Volleyball Centre Coordinator, Ba Baboucarr Barrow, has made a generous donation of one volleyball net and four volleyballs to the Kartong Volleyball Association over the weekend.

The donation is aimed at supporting the development of volleyball in the coastal town and empowering young players to stay active and motivated in the sport.

Barrow, who has been instrumental in nurturing grassroots volleyball across the region, said his gesture was part of his commitment to the growth of the game nationwide.

“Volleyball has given me so much and it’s only right that I give back to the next generation. Kartong has talent and passion. They only need support and the right equipment to shine,” said Coach Barrow.

The Kartong Volleyball Association expressed deep appreciation for the donation, describing it as timely and inspiring as they prepare for upcoming regional competitions.
