MKAC tackes drainage systems as rainy season begins

MKAC conducts massive cleansing exercise.

The Mansakonko Area Council in collaboration with Regional stakeholders embarked on a general cleansing exercise commonly known as “SET-SETAL” in Jarra Soma LRR.

The exercise targets all drainages and hotspot areas within Jarra Soma to ensure free flow of water through the drainage systems and reduce water borne diseases as well as breeding places for mosquitoes.

The Council and Regional stakeholders has observed that all drainages are stocked with all kind of solid waste which could cause potential floods during the rainy season.

The exercise was successfully conducted as representatives in various institutions participate fully to ensure the success of the cleansing exercise.

The Chairman of the Council Mr. Landing B. Sanneh, expressed delightful over the successful conduct of the cleansing exercise and has thanks representatives for honouring the invitation. He reaffirms Council commitment in rendering services and promise to embark on similar activity subsequently.
