Minister Hamat N.K. Bah Missing from Key State Events Amid Concerns

Hon. Hamat N.K. Bah, Minister of Lands, Religious Affairs, and Local Government, was recently spotted at the laying of the foundation for the Deep-Sea Port Expansion Project in Sanyang. Observers at the scene noted that Minister Bah appeared visibly displeased during the event, raising speculation about his current stance within government circles.

Notably, Minister Bah has been absent from several major state functions in recent weeks. He was not present at the inauguration of the National People’s Party (NPP) National Bureau in Bundung, nor did he attend the launch of the University of Science, Engineering and Technology (USET) at the Brikama College Campus.

His absence was also felt during the commissioning of the new Ministry of Forestry building in Abuko, as well as President Adama Barrow’s recent nationwide inspection tour of key road infrastructure projects.

The repeated no-shows of such a high-profile cabinet member have sparked growing public interest and speculation about possible tensions or internal political dynamics at play. While no official explanation has been provided, many are now watching closely to see what comes next for Minister Bah and his role in the Barrow administration.
