Medina Ward Councilor Leads Road Rehabilitation Project

 

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, Hon. Kalla Gaye, Councilor of Medina Ward in Lower Nuimi under Kerewan Area Council, spearheaded a road rehabilitation project connecting Ndungu Kebbeh and Njawara villages.

The initiative, supported by the Kerewan Area Council, aims to improve access between the two communities. Amat Camara, Chairman of Njawara’s Village Development Committee (VDC), expressed deep gratitude to the councilor and the Kerewan Area Council for prioritizing their village.

He called on the Gambian government to empower local councils to undertake larger infrastructure projects, emphasizing the need for better roads to ensure the smooth movement of goods and services in the future.
