Former United Democratic Party (UDP) campaign manager Karafa Sonko has exploded at online critics, accusing supporters of his old party of trying to sabotage his nationwide tour.
Sonko, who recently ditched the UDP, said he and ally Loppy have every right to travel the country and engage ordinary Gambians without being hounded.
“We’re not on the same page, so we’re hitting the road to speak to people. that’s every citizen’s right,” he blasted.
“If anyone isn’t comfortable with us travelling and meeting people, take the same trip yourself.
“But every time we move, you flood the forums with so-called breaking news that Karafa and Loppy are touring the country. Enough of that nonsense.”
He warned that no amount of online trolling or rumour-mongering would stop him from reaching out to communities.
“We will continue to talk to Gambians everywhere,” he vowed.
“Nobody owns the roads, nobody owns the people. We are free to meet and share our message.”
