Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, the Minister for Information, Media, and Broadcasting Services, has lauded President Barrow’s administrative successes as efficient structural leadership.
Speaking at the President’s ‘Meet-the-People-Tour’ in Brikama on Sunday, the minister said the president was able to support and address issues in various sectors because he is effectively managing the country’s resources.
The information minister pointed out that the president built resourceful schools and hospitals, improved security, constructed modern roads, empowered women and youth, and expanded electricity and water supply, regardless of the country’s limited source of revenue.
“The Gambia does not have natural resources like diamonds or crude oil. The President can achieve all this progress because he effectively and efficiently manages the country’s revenue and fights against corruption,” Dr. Ceesay emphasized.
Minister Ceesay stated that the president has achieved distinction in democracy, securing sector reform, energy, agriculture, and other areas of necessity. He reminded Gambians about the realities in the past ten years, stating that no one dared to make demands for necessities during the Jammeh regime. He maintained that the Barrow administration rescues Gambia from the fear of rights violations, as everyone can comfortably sleep in homes with family members.
Dr. Ceesay noted that everyone across the country has shown maximum support to the continuity of President Barrow’s government, adding that it’s the administration that the majority of citizens trusted to lead the country to the promised land.
