Hon. Bakary K. Badjie received a heartwarming wwelcomeon June 29th, 2025, in Sibito Village, Lower River Region, where he served as Chief Guest Speaker at the annual gala organised by the Kwinalla Cluster of teachers.
The event brought together educators, community leaders, and villagers in a celebration of the teaching profession and its pivotal role in shaping communities. Hon. Badjie was hailed for his unapologetic commitment to the welfare of teachers and civil servants, both as a former educator and now as a legislator.
In his keynote address on the theme “Teachers as Agents of Social Change and Community Development,” Hon. Badjie emphasized that teachers are not only educators but second parents, mentors who go the extra mile to mold the minds and morals of the nation’s future.
He described teachers as pillars of nation-building, who, by educating and guiding children from all walks of life, both able and differently able, poor and privileged, nurture responsible citizens who eventually serve the country in various capacities.
The Alkalo of Sibito, alongside the village Imam, the gala chairman, and cluster teachers, all commended Hon. Badjie for his principled stance and passionate advocacy in the National Assembly. They described him as a national asset whose leadership continues to inspire hope and action.
