The Gambia Police Force has inaugurated a new office building for the Mobile Traffic Unit in Kanifing, supported by Comium GSM Gambia and Tech World Company. The facility marks a major step in modernizing policing infrastructure and strengthening road safety management.
The ceremony was graced by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Seedy Mukhtar Touray, senior police leadership, service chiefs, National Assembly members, and partners from Comium and Tech World Company. In his keynote remarks, the IGP commended the sponsors for their support to the Force and urged other institutions to emulate their example.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of certificates to Mobile Traffic officers and supportive stakeholders, the raising of the national and Police flags, and a parade led by CSP Dawda Jobe and Supt. Amie Jabang. Dignitaries later unveiled the commemorative plaque and toured the new building, which houses the Commissioner’s office, a lecture hall, and other key facilities.
The event concluded with performances by the Police Band and GPF Cultural Group, reflecting the pride and unity of the Force in its continued commitment to serve the nation.
