Gamworks and GAF meet in a bid to collaborate

 

The Chief of Defence Staff Gambia Armed Forces Lieutenant General Mamat OA Cham, on Wednesday 4 June 2025, engaged in a productive meeting with the Director General of GAMWORKS Mr Omar Gaye, at the Defense Headquarters to explore avenues for collaboration in infrastructural development, with a primary focus on improving accommodation for personnel of The Gambia Armed Forces — a top priority for the CDS.

Discussions also encompassed the enhancement of training, administrative, and storage facilities. Recognizing GAMWORKS’ extensive experience in executing public infrastructure projects, the CDS aims to leverage their technical expertise to develop a comprehensive blueprint that aligns with the strategic objectives of the Gambia Armed Forces.

This partnership underscores the CDS’s commitment to providing personnel of GAF with the necessary facilities to help them perform their duties effectively and efficiently.

The DG GAMWORKS was accompanied by Mrs Elizabeth Carayol Ndong – Technical Director and Mr Sanna Ceesay – Project Manager.GAF
