Foundation Presents Learning Materials To Two Schools in Lower Badibou

Jamsai Foundation based in Kotu Wednesday, presented learning materials to two schools in Lower Badibou.

The foundation gave out: shoes, school bags, copies of Holy Quran and cloths to Toroba Arabic School. Whilst Kerr Ardo Basic Cycle School also benefitted from donation of text books, exercise books, shoes, school bags and cloths. The presentations were held at Toroba and Kerr Ardo Basic Schools of Lower Badibou in the north Bank region.

Presenting the donated items on behalf of Jamsai Foundation, Demba Sanyang underscored the foundation’s commitment to reach out to needy people in society. He says the support is in line with the dictates and teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith, citing the acts of caring and sharing. Sanyang calls on the two institutions to ensure proper distribution of donated materials to needy and deserving students. He thanked individuals and well-wishers for their unwavering support to the foundation, as it aimed to support families and enhance education of children at both conventional and Arabic Schools.

Sambou Minteh Principal of Kerr Ardo Basic School described the donation as timely and relevant, noting that it would greatly enhance learning and teaching. Principal Minteh alluded that the support would contribute immensely to improve teaching and learning and uses the moment to call for more support to assist underprivileged students by giving more hope and improve academic performance.

Abubacarr Fatty, Head Teacher of Toroba Arabic School and Aja Isatou Jallow lady president of Toroba thanked Jamsai Foundation for complementing teaching and learning and described the donation as timely.

Ismaila Bah, Chairman of Toroba Village Development Committee uses the opportunity to call for more support towards the construction of standard kitchen for the school. That, according to him would greatly enhance school feeding program.
