The defending champions of the West Coast Region Zonal Football competition, Foni Zonal Team, will begin their title defence at home on Wednesday at the Bwiam Football Field.

Foni Zone enters the new campaign determined to bounce back after narrowly losing the Super Cup in the last edition, falling 2-1 to fellow finalists Brufut Zone. With home support expected to play a pivotal role, the defending champions aim to secure a strong start against the traveling Central 2 team.

Central 2, on the other hand, will be looking to pull off an upset and announce its intentions early in the season.

Elsewhere in the day’s fixtures, COSDA Zone will host Tujereng Zone at the Kunkujan Football Field. Playing at home, COSDA will seek to kick off its campaign with a win against a formidable Tujereng side.

With regional pride and early-season momentum at stake, fans can expect competitive matches as the zonal championship gets underway.
