FONI JARROL NAM SAID HE WAS TEARGAS AT THE INCIDENT BETWEENT THE POLICE AND APRC NO TO ALLIANCE MOVEMENT

Foni Jarrol NAM said he was Teargas at the Incident between the Police and APRC No to Alliance Movement

The national assembly member for the Foni Jarrow constituency, Honorable Kebba Toumanding Sanneh, alleged that he was teargassed by the police intervention unit (PIU) during a clash between the police and APRC No to Alliance movement during their raising program at Tallinding.

Sanneh said he is waiting for the National Assembly’s decision on the tear gas incident, claiming he will never let go of this case; even if the National Assembly doesn’t address the issue, he will take action. That could include going to court, he will.

Honorable Kebba Toumanding further explained that when the incident took place, the national assembly minority and majority leader were informed, and they happened to show up at Bundung police station and promised to address the matter.

“It is incorrect for any security officer to fire Teargas on lawmakers after identifying himself. I will not take this lightly with them. If I let this go, they will continue doing it again and again,” he claimed

Furthermore, Mr Sanneh debunked the claim that the gathering was political.
He clarified that the APRC No to Alliance movement was having fun raising, and the police granted permits to proceed with their program. Still, they waited until when the event was taking place and decided to end it, asking them to disperse.
