First Lady Inaugurates New Oxygen Plant to Boost Medical Care

 

With renewed determination towards quality health care delivery, First Lady of the Republic of The Gambia, Her Excellency Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art medical oxygen plant at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul on Monday.

The new plant will ensure a steady supply of high-purity medical oxygen for critical hospital services, from emergency treatments and surgeries to neonatology.

Speaking at the ceremony, the First Lady thanked President Adama Barrow for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment, stating “it is under his leadership that we continue to see tangible investments aimed at modernising our hospitals, training health workers, and ensuring that no Gambian is left behind when it comes to quality healthcare.”

H.E. Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow reiterated her commitment to supporting initiatives that promote maternal and child health, and ensure that the welfare of women and children remains at the centre of the national development agenda.

The Office of the First Lady continues to compliment the government’s effort in implementing transformative projects across the country.
