ECOWAS Annual Sustainable Energy Competence Certification Workshop underway in Dakar

CEREEC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CEREEC), With the Support of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft Für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), Is Organizing the Annual Workshop on Regional Certification System for Sustainable Energy, From 29 July to 2 From August 2024 in Dakar, Senegal.
The Main Objective Of This Workshop Is To Bring Together The Main Stakeholders Of The ECOWAS Regional Sustainable Energy Skills Certification Program To Discuss And Analysis Ongoing Activities As Well As Plan Future Actions To Ensure The Efficiency And Sustainability Of The Energy Skills Certification Body Sustainable ECBES (ECBES) Led By CEREEC
The Seminar Will Be Structured Around The Following Three Meetings:
The First National Focal Institutions for Certification in Sustainable Energy;
The Fourth Technical Committee Meeting;
The Second Meeting of the Tripartite Advisory Committee
The Workshop Will Provide An Opportunity To Consolidate Existing Certifications, Namely Those Of Off-Grid Solar PV Installers And Of Clean Energy Mini-Grids Professionals, On The One Hand, And Prepare For The Implementation Of Certifications Related To The Energy Efficiency And Thermal Solar Energy Professions, By Another One. The Discussions Will Also Focus On Operating The Level 3 (Grid-Tied Solar Photovoltaic Energy) Certification In Joint With The West African Energy Group (WAPP).
The Workshop Will Provide A Platform For Collaboration, Knowledge Sharing And Strategic Planning To Enhance The Sustainable Energy Competencies Certification Process In West Africa.
