DLEAG LRR Command holds school outreach at Japineh UBS & SSS

 

On Thursday the 10th day of July 2025 DLEAG Lower River Region Command organized a school outreach program at Jappineh Upper and Senior Secondary School aimed at sensitizing the school students on the dangers of drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking.

Mr Ebrima Njie the senior School principal welcomed the officials from DLEAG and noted that their visit was timely and important. He urged students to use the opportunity to learn and share the information with their brothers and sisters at home.

Mr Kalilu Beyai the officer Commanding DLEAG LRR presented on the role and responsibility of DLEAG. He highlighted the need for public collaboration in the fight against Drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking. He advised students to value their education and stay away from substance abuse stressing the devastating effects of drug abuse on individuals and the community.

Mr Adama Bah DLEAG’s regional DDR and Media advocacy officer presented on the legal implication of drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking and also the negative effects of substance abuse on Young individuals particularly students. Mr Bah emphasize the need for collective efforts in the fight against illicit substance abuse and trafficking.
He advised students to avoid being used as carriers by drug dealers because it can lead to legal consequences and loss of education and future opportunities.

The program was quite educative and interactive. Many thanks to the school management, staff and students of Jappineh Upper and Senior Secondary School.
