Coach Manneh to Announce Final U-17 Squad Monday

By: Kemo Kanyi

The Gambia national U-17 coach, Yahya Manneh, is set to unveil his final squad on Monday, ahead of the team’s participation in the WAFU-A TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier tournament in Mali later this year.

As part of the squad selection process, the Gambia U-17 team held a training session on Saturday at the Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum. Coach Manneh and his technical team continued preparations, assessing players’ performance and readiness for the upcoming tournament.

The team is scheduled to resume training on Sunday, as Coach Manneh finalizes his decisions ahead of Monday’s official squad announcement.

Players were scouted from all regions across the country, providing opportunities for young talents from provincial areas to showcase their skills on a national platform.

The final squad will represent The Gambia as it seeks qualification in the highly anticipated regional competition.
