Child Knocked by Vehicle at Busumbala Market Junction

A tragic incident occurred at the main Busumbala Market Junction, where a young boy was struck by a vehicle. Fortunately, the child did not sustain any serious injuries but was quickly rushed to the New Yundum Health Centre for medical evaluation and treatment.

The driver of the vehicle was immediately apprehended by the police, who launched a preliminary investigation into the incident. Early findings revealed that it was an apprentice, rather than a licensed driver, who was behind the wheel at the time of the accident.

Eyewitnesses reported that the bustling market area, known for its high traffic and activity, was particularly crowded when the accident occurred. Authorities have urged drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution to prevent such incidents in the future.

Meanwhile, the police have confirmed that they are continuing their investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. The condition of the child remains stable, and the family has expressed relief that the injuries were not life-threatening.
