The world is again revealing its double standard by displaying its capacity to ensuring an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Iran but leaders are still procrastinating in getting an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
It is the worst tragedy that human society has known since the holocaust. The people of Israel should know what the Palestinian people are going through. They should read their history books to know what had happened during the holocaust. They should then say, ‘Never Again’ should what happened in the holocaust be happening in Palestine. The people of Palestine and the people of Israel must compromise on a two-state solution so that they can have a place they call a homeland where they can live in peace by embracing the spirit of good neighbourliness. Anything short of this will be unsustainable and both peoples will continue to live in a state of permanent war and no peace.
History has confirmed that no people can be at peace if they oppress other peoples and deprive them of a right to live in peace free from oppression and domination.
