As part of his ongoing nationwide tour of military installations and deployments, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Mamat O.A. Cham, on Monday, 12 May 2025,, paid a visit to the Kerr Pateh Military Post, where he engaged local community leaders and troops in a bid to bolster civil-military relations.
The CDS and his delegation were warmly received by Officer Commanding Captain Abdoulie Sanyang, who expressed appreciation for the high-level visit and its significance for troop morale and local collaboration.
During the visit, Army Commander Brigadier General Sait Njie addressed the troops, underscoring the vital importance of discipline in military service. “Discipline is what I emphasize most whenever I address troops,” he stated. Brigadier General Njie also touched on critical operational matters, including enhanced training, concerns over the rising number of road accidents involving military personnel, and the responsible use of social media by soldiers.
