Earlier today, Beakanyang began a 2-day training of traditional communicators (Kanyallengs) on the AU Transitional Justice Policy.
The training taking place at Jambur in Kombo South of West Coast Region formed part of our Badinbung project activities.
In his opening remarks, our Executive Director Mr Nfamara Jawneh thanked the EU and the AU through the African Transitional Justice Legacy Fund for supporting the training.
He urged participants to take the training seriously noting that the participants will later on join the organization in their community popularization of the AUTJP.
“We know how powerful Kantallengs could be in terms of advocacy and message dissemination thus the reason for your inclusion in the Badinbung project,” he said.
In his welcoming remarks, Imam Omar Bojang the chairman of Badinbung on behalf of the village Alkali thanked Beakanyang for choosing their community to host such an important event.
