BCC says ๐–๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ซ โ€˜ ๐“๐จ๐›๐š๐ฌ๐ค๐ข ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ started ๐ข๐ง ๐๐š๐ง๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฅ.

 

The Banjul City Council, under the leadership of Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe, announced the official commencement of the Wanterr Tobaski Sales.

Mayor Lowe stated that despite the unforeseen challenges, the BCC intervened promptly and effectively to ensure it proceeded.

“This periodic market, which takes place during the festive seasons, is a key economic lifeline for many vendors, especially women.

By safeguarding its continuation, we reinforce our commitment to community livelihoods and the preservation of valued traditions.”

She commended the deputy, Aziz Dabakh Gaye, for his tireless efforts and all the councillors who came on-site to help in the process.

“Bravo to our women rep councillor Fatou Ada. We are proud of you.

To the vendors, I say good luck!
