BCC and Es-Semara City Establish Strategic Partnership

The Banjul City Council (BCC) has established a strategic partnership with Es-Semara City in Morocco, aimed at enhancing international collaboration and opportunities.
In an interview with The Fatu Network, Banjul City Council Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe referred to this as a new phase of international cooperation and advancement.

“Today, we have formalized a twinning partnership between the Banjul City Council and the Es-Semara City Council, creating a new link of international collaboration and mutual growth,” she stated.

The BCC mayor emphasized that this agreement is more than just a document; it serves as a bridge connecting our people, cultures, and aspirations.

“Additionally, we celebrated the twinning of the Brikama Area Council with the Municipality of Amgala, representing a significant advancement in strengthening The Gambia’s global connections,” she noted.

This partnership is a strategic alliance founded on mutual progress, concentrating on key areas that will empower our communities. As a result of this partnership, both cities will enjoy benefits from cultural exchanges, education, sports, and entrepreneurship. It will allow both parties to share their rich heritage to promote deeper understanding and unity.

Moreover, it will create opportunities for knowledge transfer and academic collaboration to build a brighter future for the youth from both cities. “This initiative reflects our steadfast commitment to positioning Banjul as a city that is open to collaboration, eager to learn, and ready to engage in global discussions,” the mayor elaborated.

The BCC mayor urged the residents of Banjul to welcome this new chapter with positivity. “The future of Banjul is bright, interconnected, and full of potential.”
