Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has maintained his fervent support for African traditional spirituality, claiming that Nigerians have been misinformed about the genuine nature of African deities.
The thespian characterized African diets as naturally calm in remarks he posted on Instagram, which coincide with his open acceptance of traditionalism and his Christian beliefs.
He has urged Nigerians to stop burning temples, shrines and other traditional symbols, saying that “they lied to us” about these deities being bad and courting evil.

Many traditional deities acknowledge God Almighty, and Edochie claims that giving up these customs out of fear or false information can result in “perpetual trouble.”
“Contrary to all the lies they have sold us for decades, deities are very peaceful.
‘’They will never look for your trouble if you don’t look for theirs”. Yul Edochie wrote on his Instagram page.
The actor has been an outspoken advocate for reestablishing ties to traditional spiritual practices, frequently asserting that colonial narratives and Western influence are to blame for the unfavorable representation of African deities.
