Fish Smokers at the Tanji landing site highlights challenges.

Men and Women involved in the fish smoking at the Tanji landing Site lament challenges affecting the business to this medium.

The sector, which is dominated by women, supported Gambians and Non- Gambians economically.

Amie Sanneh described the fishing business as challenging to women while appealing to the government to assist them with a market space.

Momodou Jallow, who has been in the business for more than three decades, condemns illegal fishing and calls for the government’s intervention in curbing the activity.

For his part, Lamin Jatta calls on the government to help them with fishing equipment.

 

Bakary Sanyang, who has been in the fishing business for twenty (20 said the price is unstable and largely depends on demand and supply.
