It has been a norm for young football enthusiasts to fill video clubs to watch European leagues. These football times often clash with prayer times thereby resulting in skipping congregational prayers.
For example, the Brikama Nyambai jah oil mosque is a popular place where young people occupy but this is not always the case when matches are ongoing.

Muslim elders called on youths to honor prayer times instead of wasting time watching foreign matches.
” Prayer time is not more than 5mins, Youths should pause watching games and perform their prayers on time, “Alhagie Sowe said
Karim Njie, a resident of Jalambang echoed similar sentiments while urging youths to prioritize prayers.
According to Sheikh Joof, a vendor at Brikama market who resides in Farato, young Muslims only fill mosques during Ramadan.
” They are mostly serious with prayers during Ramadan”
Some of the Muslim elders who spoke to New GlobaMuslima stressed that prayers are compulsory for every Muslim and believers must adhere to them accordingly.
Muslim Elders are concerned with low turnout at mosques during football matches.
