Tampoto Women horticultural farmers appeal for help as inadequate water supply and perimeter fencing hinder Production.

The women horticultural farmers in Tampoto, Foni Bintang said they are facing numerous challenges in the garden which hinders production.

In an exclusive interview with the New Global Media, the women highlighted their major challenges which include inadequate water supply as well as perimeter fencing.

Mama Tamba, the  President of the Garden asserted that they are going through a lot of challenges to maintain their garden.” we lack a proper fencing for the garden which is allowing pests and insects to get into the garden and destroy our garden produce.”
She added that  there is not enough water and fertilizer available to them.”We need help in our garden, we are struggling.”
Musukeba Badjie spoke about the  importance of the garden to them.”This garden helps us a lot because what we get from this garden helps us to take care of our families at home by paying school fees for our children.”
Lissa Bojang and Wuday Jammeh both expressed similar sentiments while calling on the Government and NGOs to come to their Aids.
