Today, Thursday, 24th October, the Vice President of The Gambia graced the 13th Commonwealth Youth Declaration Forum, held at the Tusitala Hotel. The event saw the presentation of the Youth Declaration, crafted by young leaders from across the Commonwealth, showcasing their commitment to shaping the future.
Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Alieu Njie, Secretary to Cabinet, and the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs. The forum was also honored by the presence of the current Commonwealth Secretary-General, Patricia Scotland.
During the forum, the Vice President engaged with numerous young participants, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational connections. Discussions focused on the way forward for youth participation within the Commonwealth, highlighting the pivotal role of young people as future leaders.
