Ouma Ceesay Wins Niamina West Lady Councillor Seat in Close Election

Niamina West District has a new Lady Councillor following a tightly contested election that saw Ouma Ceesay of Kerr Mahalima emerge victorious. According to results announced by local media, Ceesay secured 31 votes, narrowly defeating her closest competitor, Mariama Gina Jallow of Sare Sambel, who garnered 29 votes.

The results, shared by, show that the competition was fierce, with Bintou Manneh of Pinai receiving 7 votes, while Amie Jallow of Kerr Katim trailed behind with 1 vote.
