Vice President Jallow Presents GMD 1.5 Million Cheque to Gambian Olympic Athletes

The Vice President of The Gambia, H.E. Mohammed B.S. Jallow, recently hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Youth & Sports, the National Sports Council, and the Gambia National Olympic Committee, along with the coaches and athletes who represented the country at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

During the visit, Vice President Jallow presented a qualification bonus cheque totaling GMD 1.5 million to the athletes on behalf of the Government with each of the six athletes set to receive GMD 250,000. The ceremony highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting and rewarding the nation’s sports talents for their dedication and achievements on the global stage.
