WHAT IS THE FISHERIES MINISTRY DOING TO PROTECT OUR FISHSTOCK AND FISHERFOLKS?

Fisherfolks have been complaining to Foroyaa about dwindling catch due to decreasing stock and other factors. Our information is that fishing trawlers keep catching juvenile fish and dump rotten fish at sea when they overfish. They also complained about rising fuel cost and natural obstacles such seaweed which curtail their catch and slice their profit margins.

This is a life and livelihood issue and Foroyaa will get in touch with the Ministry of Fisheries and Water Resources to know what they are doing about these problems.
