On the night of July 16, 2026, the PIU Kanifing conducted a thorough and effective operation that resulted in the arrest of more than 100 individuals. The operation targeted several locations including the Serekunda Black Market, Brikama Garage, and Coastal Road Garage.
Upon careful screening, individuals found in possession of harmful weapons, engaging in disorderly behavior, or committing other related offenses were turned over to the Serekunda Charge Office for further legal action. Others who were found innocent were promptly released. This successful operation showcases the PIU Kanifing’s dedication and commitment to maintaining safety and order in the KM Region.
