Condemnation of Threats Against Ousinou Bojang and Amie Bojang

The movement strongly condemns the recent statements made by the President earlier this week, in which he publicly labeled Ousinou Bojang and Amie Bojang as killers of police officers and vowed to ensure they are brought before the courts.

Such declarations, made outside the bounds of due process, are deeply troubling and pose a serious threat to the principles of justice, fairness, and the rule of law. No individual regardless of the weight of the allegations should be declared guilty by any authority before a competent court of law has heard and determined the matter.

We view this as not only prejudicial but also as an implicit threat to the safety and rights of the Bojang siblings.

As a movement, we want to unequivocally assure Ousinou Bojang and Amie Bojang that they are not alone. We stand in solidarity with them and will do everything within our lawful powers to ensure their protection and that their rights are upheld at all times.

We call on the Government to immediately withdraw any threatening rhetoric and to strictly adhere to legal and constitutional processes. Justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done free from political influence, intimidation, or public pre-judgment.

We further state clearly that Ousinou Bojang has already been declared innocent by the High Court of The Gambia. Any attempt to continue portraying him as guilty is not only unjust but a direct affront to the authority and integrity of the judiciary.

The Gambian people have endured too much injustice in the past and will not stand by while impunity and abuse of power resurface.

The movement remains committed to defending justice, protecting the rights of citizens, and ensuring that no Gambian is denied a fair hearing under the law.

All Power to the People!
Forward Ever, Backward Never!
