London Corner Goat Thieves Sentenced to Six Months and Fines

‎The three youths who were on 9th February, captured by video footage stealing a goat in London Corner, Ousainou Babou, Amadou Wurry Jallow, and Saika Jallow, have been handed a six-month jail term by Magistrate A. Manneh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy and theft of a goat which is valued at D6,000.

‎Because the trio are first-time offenders and have appealed to the court to temper justice with mercy, Magistrate A. Manneh sentenced each of them on count 1 of conspiracy, which is a mandatory custodial sentence of six (6) months imprisonment, and count 2, stealing, a fine of D5,000.

‎Magistrate Manneh stated that failure to pay the D5,000 fine will result in an additional seven (7) days of imprisonment.‎
