Liverpool eyeing Minteh as Salah replacement

 By: Kemo kanyi

Liverpool have added Yankuba Minteh to their list of potential Mohamed Salah replacements, with a January move unlikely.

According to Football Insider, Minteh is the latest Salah replacement option that Liverpool might consider. The Brighton star has been a top performer for the club since moving in 2024, as the Merseysiders are keen to bring him to Anfield, although a January move looks unlikely.

Brighton are not interested in selling Minteh anytime soon, despite the many links, including Liverpool. The Seagulls are protected with a contract until 2029, which gives them plenty of leeway in negotiations, as the winger is not the only player Liverpool are looking at to replace Salah in the future. Anthony Gordon is seen as a long-term target, but like Minteh, there will be challenges to sign the England international.
