Faye and Kagame Advance Bilateral Cooperation in Kigali

Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye concluded a three-day state visit to Kigali this weekend, strengthening the growing friendship between Senegal and Rwanda.

Held from 17th to 19th October at the invitation of President Paul Kagame, the visit built on earlier moments that reflected their personal rapport, including their joint appearance at a Basketball Africa League game in Dakar last year.

During the trip, the two leaders advanced cooperation in governance, trade, and sustainable development, signing five new bilateral agreements covering agriculture, health, visa facilitation, prison services, and national development planning.

President Faye also joined President Kagame for Kigali’s Car Free Day, a community event promoting public health and environmental awareness through sport and civic participation.
