The Unite Movement for Change (UMC) has presented eight motorcycles to selected regional representatives as part of its efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement and promote national unity.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Kemo Bojang, National Spokesperson for the UMC, described the initiative as a reflection of the Movement’s people-centered approach.
“We see this movement as one for the Gambian people. Gambians deserve to be part of a movement that can deliver the progressive Gambia we have all been asking for,” Bojang said.
He emphasized that the donation represents not just a gift, but a call to service.
These motorcycles are facilities we have provided to support our regional representatives. We hope they will be used to enhance and elevate the lives of our people through service,” he added.
Momodou Gibba, a beneficiary from Foni Demban, expressed gratitude on behalf of the recipients, pledging to use the motorcycles to advance the Movement’s objectives.
“It is truly uplifting to witness such an initiative that seeks change in this country, a change that benefits everyone, whether openly or silently. Joining this movement will help bring about positive transformation in The Gambia,” Gibba stated.
According to officials, the motorcycles will facilitate regional coordination and mobilization efforts for the Unite Movement for Change across the country.
The presentation ceremony also featured remarks from senior members of the Movement, followed by the official handover of the motorcycles to the regional representatives.
