By Kemo Touray

In a dominant display at the Dippa Kunda derby of the Serekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) summer Nawettan, Jarintong FC overwhelmed D.K United with a convincing 3-0 victory on Tuesday afternoon.

The match began with D.K. United is controlling possession but failing to convert their dominance into clear scoring opportunities. Jarintong FC broke the deadlock in the 35th minute when Muhammed Jobarteh embarked on a brilliant solo run from the halfway line, dribbling past multiple defenders before slotting home a stunning individual goal. That strike proved decisive in the first half.

After the break, D.K. United pressed for an equalizer, but Jarintong FC’s disciplined defense held firm. In the 72nd minute, defender Yusupha Sanneh extended the lead following an error by the D.K. United goalkeeper. Substitute Modou Njie completed the scoring with a swift counterattack, sealing a comprehensive 3-0 win for Jarintong FC.

In the evening fixture at the Serekunda West mini-stadium, Manga 11 United and Jeshwang City played out a goalless draw in a closely contested match. Manga 11 United secured qualification to the next phase of the competition with eight points from the group stage. Jeshwang City, currently on five points, will face Jarintong FC in the final group game, with Jarintong FC sitting on six points.

The results have set up an exciting conclusion to the SWESO Nawettan group stage, with the final matches poised to determine which teams will advance to the next round.
