After a long searched of talent through the length and breadth of the Gambia, the National Competitive Musical Festival has finally come to end on the 18th of February 2025 at Qcity with KMC region one as the champion of the grand final.
Young talented Pahali Secka from Abuko was the shining star of the night with exceptional performances and brilliant stage comportment. Everyone seated and presences at the NCM grand final, including the judges, were amazed with the magnitude of talents before them, but Pahali Secka was just outstanding among all of the contestants from different regions across the Gambia.
Seventeen (17) contestants took part in the historic National Competitive Festival, and a nationwide audition was held at different regions where winners at the regional level compete at the grand final. The winner, Pahali, will receive prize money of D500, 000, 2nd runner-up D300, 000, and 3rd runner-up D200, 000.
Joluv Arts in collaboration with National sports Council will produce a musical project for Pahali Secka, both audio and visuals, and provide career coaching and consultancy for all the other finalists, said by Saul Sowe the founder of NCM and Joluv Arts.
He also said they will provide career coaching, consultancy in the artist’s road map, and future projects will be provided for Joluv arts banking on its near three decades experience in the entertainment sector making it bigger and better in terms of participation and ownership, particularly in local communities through the regional auditions, and engage more government and corporate Gambia for bigger endorsements/partnerships.
