Yunus English School Shines at OMUSUBI CLUB SOCCER TOURNAMENT

 

Yunus English School delivered an impressive performance at the OMUSUBI CLUB SOCCER TOURNAMENT, securing second place in a highly competitive event featuring four schools. The girls’ team showed tremendous skill and resilience throughout the tournament, culminating in a nail-biting final against New Yundum Upper Basic School’s girls team. After a tense 0-0 draw, the game went to penalties, where New Yundum ultimately triumphed.

 

Despite this setback, the boys’ team of Yunus English School demonstrated their excellence by defeating Busumbala Farato Upper Basic School’s male team with a narrow but decisive 1-0 victory. This victory highlighted the team’s determination and solid gameplay.

 

Moreover, Yunus English School’s contribution was further recognized when Baboucarr Jarju and Ousman mareneh won the Best Player of the Tournament award. The school’s outstanding showing at the tournament has certainly cemented their reputation as a rising force in school sports.

 

The tournament’s atmosphere was filled with excitement and fierce competition, but Yunus English School’s resilience, skill, and teamwork did not go unnoticed, earning them accolades and recognition.
