Strengthening Cooperation: GCR Commissioner Meets NDLEAG Leadership

Recently ,Commissioner Ebrima Manneh of the Gambia Commission for Refugees (GCR) and his team paid a courtesy visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to enhance collaboration on refugee protection and establish a clear communication channel when refugees come into conflict with the law.

The Adviser to the Director of NDLEAG acknowledged international commitments while emphasizing the importance of national security, noting that some refugees could pose risks. He proposed the formation of a joint task force to address such concerns.

The Public Relations Officer reaffirmed the existing partnership, while the Director of NDLEAG assured continued cooperation, commending GCR for its proactive approach.

This engagement reinforces the shared commitment to security, protection, and effective refugee management in The Gambia.
