President Barrow’s recent remarks, in which he said Brikama Area Council Chairman Yankuba Darboe had “spent his tenure fighting and arguing instead of serving the people”, have prompted a response from Darboe.
In a Facebook post, Darboe accused the president of making commitments during election periods and not fulfilling them, and said that if the president is voted out in 2026, each ward in the West Coast Region would receive D5 million under his camp’s plans.
He also called on the president to deliver on earlier promises, including free WiFi, before announcing new projects such as the proposed market.
