Controversial social media activist, Marins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has blasted the founder of Salvation Ministries Church, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, after he threatened to arrest and jail bloggers who publish negative news about him and his church.
Pastor Ibiyeomie who gave the warning during a sermon in his Port Harcourt, Rivers State-based church, has warned that henceforth, he would not hesitate to arrest those who speak against his ministry, specifically giving different scenarios of previous cases where he claimed Verydarkman resorted to social media to criticise him.
Pastor Ibiyeomie declared that he would no longer tolerate any misrepresentation from bloggers and would not hesitate to arrest and lock them up, adding that he wouldn’t be moved by pleas for mercy once legal action is triggered.

But while responding to the man of God in an Instagram video on Wednesday, the online critic said he should stop playing God by threatening to arrest and lock people up as no one is afraid of him.
Verydarkman also accused Pastor Ibiyomie of abusing power and attempting to suppress free speech.
“I know you travel around the world, have you seen anybody using police to lock up people?” He said.
“That means you are using your influence now to say that you can use the police to oppress. You can’t try this in other countries because those police would do their investigations.
“You cannot command police to do anything whether you are influential or not. That is why I say even the pastors follow spoil the country, but people don’t understand what I was saying.
“Nobody dey fear you. Who are you that we will fear, are you not a human being?”
But in a fiery response that’s currently trending, Verydarkman dared the Salvation Ministries founder,
“You travel around the world, have you seen anybody using police to lock up people for speaking online?” he questioned.
“You’re using your influence to command the police in a country where they should be investigating properly. Nobody dey fear you. Who are you that we will fear?”
